Services & Pricing
Set up your service offerings and price them your way.
Defining Your Services
During onboarding (and anytime afterward in settings), you define the services you offer. Common services include wash & fold, dry cleaning, ironing, and specialty items. You can name and describe each service however you like — there's no fixed menu.
Pricing Models
Laundryve supports flexible pricing so you can charge in the way that makes sense for your business:
- Per bag — charge a flat rate per bag of laundry. Simple and predictable for both you and your customer. This option pairs well with the standard-sized laundry bags available in the Supply Shop, giving your customers a consistent experience every order.
- Per pound — weigh the laundry after pickup and charge based on actual weight. You can adjust the final price during processing.
- Per item — ideal for specialty services like dry cleaning or ironing individual garments.
You can use different pricing models for different services. For example, wash & fold might be per-bag while dry cleaning is per-item.
Add-Ons & Extras
You can define optional add-ons that customers can select at booking — things like fabric softener preferences, starch, hypoallergenic detergent, or rush processing. Each add-on can have its own price.
Adjusting Prices During Processing
Sometimes the actual work differs from the estimate — maybe a customer's load was heavier than expected, or required extra treatment. You can adjust the order price during the "Processing" or "Ready" stages. The updated amount is reflected on the customer's order detail before delivery.
Transparency matters. Customers see the adjusted price before delivery, but it's good practice to also send a quick message through the in-app chat explaining why the price changed. A brief heads-up goes a long way toward building trust, earning repeat business, and avoiding disputes.
The Service Fee
Laundryve adds a 5% service fee (minimum $0.50) on top of your pricing. This fee is paid by the customer and covers payment processing and platform infrastructure. You don't pay it — your pricing is what you keep (minus standard Stripe processing, which is absorbed into the platform fee).
There are no monthly fees, no subscriptions, and no hidden charges. You only pay when you earn.
