Earnings & Payouts
Track what you earn, understand the fee structure, and get paid directly to your bank account.
How You Get Paid
When a customer's order reaches "Ready" status, payment is captured automatically. The customer is charged the final order amount plus the service fee. Your earnings are deposited into your Stripe Connect account, where they go through a short settlement period before becoming available for payout.
From there, payouts are sent to your linked bank account on a weekly schedule — no action needed on your part. For a deeper look at how the entire payment flow works — from identity verification to settlement to instant payouts — see Stripe Connect & Payouts.
Understanding the Fee
Laundryve charges a single, transparent transaction fee on each order. This fee is paid by the customer as a "service fee" line item — it's added on top of your pricing, not deducted from it.
The service fee covers payment processing (Stripe's fees) and platform infrastructure. There are no monthly fees, no subscription costs, and no hidden charges. You only pay when you earn.
Bottom line: The price you set is the price you earn. The customer pays a small service fee on top of that. You never see a deduction from your listed prices.
Your Earnings Screen
Your earnings screen shows a summary of your income with period filtering — view today, this week, this month, or all time. You'll see:
- Total earnings for the selected period
- Number of completed orders
- Payment statuses (captured, pending, failed)
- Payout history
Payout Schedule
Weekly payouts (free)
By default, your earnings are paid out weekly. Stripe batches your earnings and transfers them to your bank account automatically. This is free — no payout fees.
Instant payouts (optional)
Need your money sooner? You can request an instant payout and funds typically arrive in your bank account within 30 minutes — including weekends and holidays. Instant payouts carry a small fee. This is completely optional — use it when you need cash fast, and stick with the free weekly schedule otherwise.
After a payment is captured, funds go through a standard settlement period (typically 2 business days for US accounts) before they become available. Once funds have settled and are available in your balance, you can instantly transfer them to your bank. You can check your available balance in the app to see what's eligible for instant payout at any time.
Failed Payments
Occasionally, a customer's card may be declined when payment is captured at the "Ready" stage. When this happens:
- You'll see a "Payment Failed" banner on the order
- You can tap Retry Payment to try the charge again
- The system also retries automatically every 12 hours (up to 4 attempts)
- The customer receives a notification to update their payment method
You don't need to do anything manually — the system handles retry logic for you. But if you want to expedite it, the manual retry button is always available.
Refunds and Disputes
If an order is cancelled and a refund is issued to the customer, the corresponding amount is deducted from your balance. Refund details are visible in your earnings history.
Laundry Guard claims are handled separately and do not affect your earnings. Laundry Guard is fully funded by Laundryve — approved claims are paid from Laundryve's reserve, not from your balance.
In the rare case of a payment dispute (chargeback), the disputed amount is held until the dispute is resolved. If this happens, contact support — the Laundryve team will work with you to gather evidence (such as delivery photos and order details) and submit it to Stripe on your behalf.
