Route Planning & Navigation
Plan optimized routes for pickups and deliveries, then navigate stop-by-stop with turn-by-turn directions.
Planning a Route
From your dashboard, open the Route Planner. You'll see all orders that are ready for pickup or delivery. Select the orders you want to include, then tap Optimize Route. Google Maps calculates the most efficient order for your stops.
Heads up: If you have Vacation Mode enabled, new orders won't come in and won't appear in your route planner. Make sure to end your vacation before planning new routes.
Running a Route
Once your route is planned, here's how it works:
- Start the route — tap "Start Route" to begin. Your first stop is highlighted.
- Navigate — tap the Navigate button on the current stop card. This opens Google Maps (Android/web) or Apple Maps (iPhone) with turn-by-turn directions to the address.
- Complete the stop — when you arrive, tap "Complete" to mark the stop done. Take any required photos. The order status advances automatically (e.g., to "Picked Up" or "Delivered").
- Move to the next stop — the route advances to your next destination. Repeat until all stops are complete.
Skip a stop? If a customer isn't home or a pickup isn't ready, you can skip a stop and come back to it later. The order stays in its current status.
Single-Order Navigation
You don't always need a full route. From any order's detail screen, you can tap Navigate to open directions to that specific address. This is handy for one-off pickups or deliveries.
Customer ETAs
When you're running a delivery route, customers whose orders are on the route will see an estimated arrival time on their order detail screen. This ETA updates as you complete stops, giving your customers real-time visibility into when their laundry will arrive.
Tips for Efficient Routes
- Batch your pickups and deliveries by time window — do all morning pickups in one route, then afternoon deliveries in another.
- The optimizer handles the stop order, but you can override it if you know the area better.
- Complete stops promptly to keep ETAs accurate for your customers.
