Laundryve (“Laundryve,” “we,” “us,” or “our”) operates the Laundryve mobile application and website (collectively, the “Platform”). This Privacy Policy explains how we collect, use, disclose, and safeguard your personal information when you use the Platform, whether as a laundry service provider (“Provider”) or a customer (“Customer”).
By creating an account or using the Platform, you agree to the collection and use of information in accordance with this Privacy Policy. This Privacy Policy is incorporated into and subject to our Terms and Conditions.
2. Information We Collect

3. How We Use Your Information
We use the information we collect for the following purposes:
- Providing Services: Creating and managing your account, processing orders, facilitating communication between Providers and Customers, and enabling pickup and delivery routing
- Payment Processing: Processing customer payments, issuing Provider payouts, handling refunds, and managing LaundryGuard claims
- Order Verification: Using photos taken at pickup and delivery to verify order condition and support damage protection claims
- Communications: Sending order status updates, payment confirmations, subscription notifications, and other transactional messages via push notifications and email
- Safety and Security: Detecting and preventing fraud, verifying user identity, enforcing our Terms and Conditions, and protecting the rights and safety of our Users
- Platform Improvement: Analyzing usage patterns, diagnosing technical issues, and improving Platform features and performance
- Customer Support: Responding to support requests, resolving disputes, and providing assistance
- Legal Compliance: Complying with applicable laws, regulations, and legal processes
We do not sell your personal information. We do not use your information for automated decision-making or profiling that produces legal or similarly significant effects.
5. Third-Party Services
The Platform integrates with the following third-party services, each governed by their own privacy policies:

- Expo — Push notification delivery. Expo receives device push tokens to deliver notifications. Expo Privacy Policy
- Apple / Google Sign-In — If you choose to sign in with Apple or Google, we receive your name and email address from the respective provider. We do not receive your Apple ID or Google password.
6. Data Retention
We retain your personal information for as long as your account is active or as needed to provide you services. Specific retention periods include:
- Account data: Retained until you delete your account
- Order records and payment history: Retained for 7 years after the transaction to comply with tax and financial reporting obligations
- Order photos: Retained for the duration of the order lifecycle. Photos from cancelled orders are automatically deleted after 7 days.
- Chat messages: Retained until the associated account is deleted
- Support tickets: Retained for 3 years after resolution
- LaundryGuard claims: Retained for 7 years after resolution for audit purposes
When you delete your account, we will delete or anonymize your personal information within 30 days, except where we are required to retain it by law or for legitimate business purposes as described above.
7. Data Security
We implement appropriate technical and organizational measures to protect your personal information, including:
- All data transmitted between the app and our servers is encrypted using TLS/SSL
- Payment credentials are processed and stored by Stripe — we never store full credit card numbers or bank account details on our servers
- API keys and secrets are stored in encrypted secret management systems, not in application code
- Database access is controlled through security rules that enforce role-based authorization
- Administrative access requires additional authentication and is restricted to authorized personnel
While we take reasonable steps to protect your information, no method of transmission over the Internet or electronic storage is completely secure. We cannot guarantee absolute security.
8. Your Rights and Choices
You have the following rights regarding your personal information:
- Access and Portability: You can view your account information, order history, and payment history within the app at any time
- Correction: You can update your account information through the app settings
- Deletion: You can request deletion of your account and associated personal data by contacting us at
- Notification Preferences: You can control which push notifications you receive through the notification settings in the app. Certain transactional notifications (order confirmations, payment receipts) cannot be disabled while your account is active.
- Location: You can revoke location permissions at any time through your device settings. Note that some features (route planning, service area verification) require location access to function.
- Marketing: We do not send marketing emails. All communications are transactional and related to your use of the Platform.

9. California Privacy Rights (CCPA)
If you are a California resident, you have additional rights under the California Consumer Privacy Act (CCPA):
- Right to Know: You may request that we disclose the categories and specific pieces of personal information we have collected about you, the categories of sources, the business purposes for collection, and the categories of third parties with whom we share it.
- Right to Delete: You may request that we delete your personal information, subject to certain exceptions.
- Right to Non-Discrimination: We will not discriminate against you for exercising any of your CCPA rights.
- No Sale of Personal Information: We do not sell personal information to third parties. We have not sold personal information in the preceding 12 months.

10. Children’s Privacy
The Platform is not intended for use by anyone under the age of 18. We do not knowingly collect personal information from children under 18. 11. International Users
The Platform is operated from the United States. If you access the Platform from outside the United States, please be aware that your information may be transferred to, stored, and processed in the United States where our servers are located. By using the Platform, you consent to the transfer of your information to the United States, which may have different data protection laws than your country of residence.

We may update this Privacy Policy from time to time. We will notify you of material changes by posting the updated policy on the Platform and updating the “Last Updated” date at the top of this page. For significant changes, we may also provide additional notice through the app or via email. Your continued use of the Platform after any changes constitutes acceptance of the updated Privacy Policy.
